ATTENTION BASKETBALL PARENTS AND FANS
The OSSAA has just issued a letter to all high schools clarifying Governor Kevin Stitt's Executive Order. This will drastically affect our attendance for home and away games. Four vouchers will be given to each basketball player for his/her family. Every person will need a voucher to gain entry to the game regardless of age. The Governor’s Executive Order will last through the middle of January, 2021. I have attached the OSSAA's clarification letter below. Due to Governor Stitt's order reducing public gatherings to 50% capacity the number of people who will be allowed into the Christmas Program will be limited. Each family will get 4 tickets that MUST be presented at the door Thursday evening - the 4 tickets are NOT for the elementary students. The elementary students who are performing will automatically get in. The 4 tickets are for parents, older/younger siblings, grandparents etc.... The tickets will be sent home TODAY with the oldest elementary sibling in your family. We have performances @ 1:00 and 6:30. No tickets required for 1:00 matinee. We WILL LIVE STREAM the evening performance.

Tonight’s basketball games with Wetumka will be limited to 444 fans due to Governor Stitt’s new Covid-19 rules. Entry will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Gate opens at 4pm today.

Glencoe Public Schools will transition to Distance Learning Wednesday and Thursday, November 18-19. All staff will report as usual on both days. Assignments will be sent out on Google Classroom or through student emails. PreK and K will receive paper packets. If you have any questions or do not have a device or connectivity call the school office or contact your classroom teacher. All extracurricular activities are canceled.

We are in DESPERATE need of food donations for the PTO Carnival which is next Thursday, Oct. 1, or the kitchen may be closed during the Carnival. The money raised at the Carnival goes to BOTH High School and Elementary teachers and students. We usually serve 200-250 people on Carnival night, as of right now, we only have enough food donations to serve 40 people.

Cafeteria news: NO microwave will be available for student use.

Lanyards (breakaway ones) need to be purchased for the student's masks. When they leave cafeteria and go directly to playground they need to be able to hang on to their mask until they back into buildings. Thank you so much!!!

2020-2021 School Year Information
We currently plan to return to school "normally", in the buildings. Our first day will be August 6th. We will also offer a virtual option for parents that are not comfortable returning to the classroom.
All students need to enroll (even those wanting virtual learning) on July 28th. PreK-6th in the multi-purpose building, 7th-12th in the High School. You can access and print most of the enrollment paperwork on the website if you would like to do that ahead of time, the free/reduced lunch form will be added when it is available.

Due to having no power at the school the elementary buildings will NOT be open this morning (Friday) for parents to pick up end of year bags. Mrs. Lane will be at school WEDNESDAY the 27th and buildings will be open. Thank you!!

PreK Enrollment packets are available in the elementary office. You can come in Tues-Thur from 8-3 to fill them out. If you provide an email address we will send them to you electronically. You must provide a birth certificate and shot records to enroll.

When school starts in the fall, we will be having an assembly to recognize our 2020 8th grade graduates. We will notify you as soon as we can get a definite date. We know that there have been many kinks in our lives during this time, but we want you to know how special you ALL are and how proud we are of your accomplishments!
